Stand up paddle surfing (SUP), or in the Hawaiian language Hoe he'e nalu, is an emerging global sport with a Hawaiian heritage. Coasteering is a combination of adventure swimming that takes place along the base of sea cliffs, exploring gullies, caves, cracks and different rock formations created by the sea. Stopping en route to experience the rise and fall of the ocean waves, traversing and scrambling the lower level of sea cliffs above deep water and climbing the cliffs to the jumping locations.
